Why Youth's Voice Matters

Youth are the backbone of the country. Only your voice, your ideas, and your activism can give a new direction to society. However, in the current situation, frustration and obstacles to progress are holding us back. To overcome this challenge and bring about positive results, it is essential for youth to collectively take the following key steps:

Today's youth are more connected, aware, and expressive than ever before. We live in an age where every young person has the potential to reach thousands, share their stories, and inspire change. Yet, many of us still feel unheard, unseen, and underestimated.

Why Youth's Voice Matters

Youth voices carry something unique i.e. energy, capacity, and a fresh perspective on society. We ask the questions that need to be asked. We challenge the status quo. We dream bigger because we haven't yet been convinced that certain things are "impossible."

This means the aspirations, participation, and actions of young people directly influence the nation’s economic growth, political stability, and social progress. When youth are active, informed, and empowered, societies innovate faster, challenge outdated systems, and create a more equitable environment for the next generation.

"Change always starts with those who dare to speak when silence becomes normal."

The Power of Being Heard

As you all know, being heard makes a person feel seen, valued, and understood. It gives youth the confidence to speak, dream, and try again. Sometimes being heard is enough to change. Isn't it?

Being heard also means having support. It means we can influence decisions that affect our lives. It means we can create movements, build communities, and inspire others who feel just as voiceless as we once did.

How We Create Impact: Key Steps

Yet, many young people are caught between societal barriers (nepotism, outdated education system, social mindset) and self-imposed distractions (addiction of phone, drugs, lust,...). Despite these challenges, I am trying to find solution and here's what I believe we can do together:

The Challenge: Learning to Trust Our Voice

We hold a mobile phone in our hands, we carry dreams in our eyes, and we possess the deep realization that change is necessary to fulfill those dreams. We know that transformation can occur within ourselves and society by taking small, consistent steps. Yet, paradoxically, some of us lack the awareness of this power, and many lack the conviction to use it. We tend to easily overlook the negative aspects present in our society and country. We possess the capability to steer these problems in a new direction, but we are unaware of our own strength.

Why does our voice tremble before we speak up against something wrong? This is the biggest challenge: We must learn to trust the power of our own voice.

"Our voice is our most powerful weapon.. We just need to believe in it."

We go through school, study the books, and pass the exams, but we rarely learn anything useful because we never actually *apply* the knowledge.

Think about it: We’ve all read chapters on health and the environment. We know exactly what harms nature, but do we act like it? We know we shouldn't just dump garbage anywhere, but often, we still do.
The problems don't stop there. Our society is full of favouritism and connections, not merit. We see prejudice and superstition—like discrimination based on caste or belief in witchcraft—even though we know these things are completely wrong.
There are countless examples like this in our community. I can't fix all these deep-rooted problems by myself, and that's why I'm asking for your solidarity and support through this blog.

Why Youth Voices Matter.. For the Country, Society, and Themselves

oung people are not merely the inheritors of the future; we are the active shapers of it. We drive innovation, influence policy priorities, and ensure long-term resilience. When we participate in civic life, governments are forced to address emerging needs—from updated education and climate action to securing our digital futures. Our fresh perspective refreshes social norms, pushes for inclusion, and identifies the gaps older generations often overlook. This participation isn't just a national service; it's intensely personal. Your voice is not a suggestion for change; it is the decisive force determining the future quality of life for everyone.

"The quality of the future you inherit depends entirely on the courage of the voice you use today. It’s your time to speak."
